The next scholarship and project competition for the Center for Asthma in the Workplace will be launched in early January.
Dr. Malo announced that for the next competition, projects involving national and/or internal partnerships, specifically with researchers or professionals who work in occupational health in developing countries, would receive extra points on their evaluation. He invited members to explore such new partnerships.
He also presented a joint project with another center supported by the same Institute of Population and Public Health program. An agreement has already been signed with the Léa-Roback Research Center (http://www.centrelearoback.ca), headed by Dre. Louise Potvin.
The budget for the scholarship competition includes a post-doctoral fellowship ($36,750), three master/s and/or Ph.D. scholarships ($60,000 total), and a summer student scholarship ($4,500).
